How to Connect Smart Devices
Smart devices are characterized as devices that do not have a browser and are unable to connect to the 'eduroam' wireless network. This includes gaming devices, smart TVs, etc.
These types of devices must be connected with a CAT 5e/6 cable to a port in your residence hall room.
To connect a smart TV or gaming console please navigate to the registration page on a device (laptop or phone) that is successfully connected to a CSC wired connection.
1. Enter your CSC Campus Account/EagleMail information.
2. Read and accept the agreement.
3. Click the 'Add' button, then enter a device name, wired MAC address*, and description of the device.
4. Click 'Submit'. You will be taken back to the dashboard. Click the 'Refresh' button to see your device in the list.
*Be sure to use the correct wired MAC address. If you don't know how to find the MAC address, you can look the steps up through a search engine (Google, Bing, etc.).
